Vocesueltas
Acting on the growing need of Spanish speakers to have access to locally produced quality cultural work, contratiempo works with local printers to give Spanish-language authors a viable and accessible outlet to divulge their work.
• In October 2007, as a joint project with four local authors, we published our first book, Vocesueltas: cuatro cuentistas de Chicago, featuring short-fiction work, and securing distribution through several area bookstores and the Chicago Public Library system.
• In 2008 we published a poetry collection, Desarraigos: poetas latinoamericanos en Chicago, featuring four poets.
